About One Small Child:
Our founder and CEO, Ramona Murdock, has over 25 years of
experience in children’s fashion design. Creating clothing for her
own children, she was often asked, "Where did you get that?" When
presented with the opportunity to share her talent and skills with
others, she began designing children’s special occasion clothing,
helping thousands of mothers and grandmothers nationwide find
charming clothing for their children’s most memorable special
occasions: first homecomings, Christenings, portraits, holidays,
baptisms, First Communions, and weddings.
For over 21 years, the Allie Wade line (named for her maternal
grandmother) was sold in 1000+ upscale retail establishments,
including major department stores and children's specialty boutiques
nationwide.
As the internet became an increasingly viable option to reach
people on a more personal level, Ramona and her dedicated team made
a significant course change in 2004: discontinuing the wholesale
business of selling to retail stores and launching One Small Child,
with the concept of making a wide selection of exquisite christening
gowns, christening outfits, flower girl and Communion dresses
quickly and conveniently available to anyone with internet access.
Our 25 years of service to many thousands of children's special
occasion customers have given us a unique opportunity to learn how
to best serve you. This knowledge has grown into an unparalleled
approach to quality clothing and customer service. We hope that you

Our girls dresses, as well as some christening gowns and outfits, are made in
our facility here in Blackfoot, Idaho.
Our seamstresses earn above the established minimum wage and we consider all of
them to be friends and part of our family.
The building we work in is well lighted and ventilated, heated in the winter and
cooled in the summer.
We share your concern about how people are treated and have a deep commitment to
provide good jobs in our community and to have a pleasant work environment. I,
and other members of my family, work along side our employees each day and
appreciate them beyond measure for the wonderful service they give on your
behalf.
